AIHT is one of WA’s premier FEI events and an important lead up for many riders to the Australian Three Day Event in November. AIHT 2019 saw more than 300 horses entered – including over 210 horses in the three lowest grades making it clear that it’s an important event for riders at ALL levels.

The WAYER course is situated on the plains of the Swan River adjacent to the State Equestrian Centre and includes both permanent and transportable cross country fences. There is a water complex and good open grassed country for galloping allowing for great cross country videos. 

WAYER offers WA riders an opportunity to gain important qualifications to compete in International level events. This FEI event runs classes from EVA65 to 4 star allowing all levels of event riders to experience top quality XC courses built by international designer John Nicholson. Situated at the SEC the WAYER course provides excellent spectator viewing.

AIHT was awarded Best Event at the Annual Awards in 2016 and the inclusion of Rider Video was a significant factor in that achievement. In 2017 the sun was shining and the courses were beautifully dressed, making for some great cross country videos, which were again a huge success.

After seeing the Rider Video product whilst competing in the eastern states, the AIHT Event Director decided to bring this concept to WA and in 2016 that vision came to life. WA riders responded positively and this became the first step in the creation of Horse On Course.
